（Bloomfield, Maurice; 1855～1928）美国（德国裔）之印度学学者。西元一八八一至一九二六年间，于琼斯荷琴兹大学（Johns Hopkins）教授梵语与印欧比较语言学。对吠陀文献学之研究，具有丰硕成果，并发表于世。重要著作有：Hymns of the Atharva Veda,1897; The Kashmirian（School ofthe Paippala^das，^tharvaveda, 3vols., 1901（与 Garbe 合著）； VedicConcordance, 1906; Atharvavedaand the Gopatha Bra^hmana; Rig-veda Repetitions, 2 vols., 1916;Vedic Variants, 1931～1934（与Edgerton 合著）。
